Canton Woman Dies from Shooting Earlier this Morning

CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The shooting which took place at 736 High AVE SW in Canton early this morning is now a fatal one as officers say the victim, 27 year old Erica Delong of Canton, passed away at Aultman Hospital around 12:30 this afternoon.
27 year old Marquis Boller of Canton is the suspected shooter. Police say he and the victim, who were roommates, were involved in a fight and a struggle over a gun at around 1 AM this morning. Officers arrived to find Delong who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Boller was arrested shortly afterward without incident. Boller was originally charged with felonious assault. However, Canton Police Captain Dave Davis says Boller’s charges will now change following Delong’s death.
