CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Lots of additions are being made to help Canton’s first responders. City Council adopted the second phase of the Wi-Fiber project last night, which will bring new technology to the police department.

It includes shot detection sensors, license plate readers and much more. The city is investing about $240,000 in the new equipment. It is expected to be active within the next 30 to 40 days.

Pam Cook spoke with Mayor Tom Bernabei about the new technology earlier today on Canton’s Morning News. Check out the full interview below!
