DeWine, Husted Urge Norfolk Southern CEO to Support Railway Safety Act

WASHINGTON, DC – (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Norfolk Southern CEO Alan Shaw is on the hot seat again on Wednesday, testifying before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.

Governor Mike DeWine and Lt Governor Jon Husted hope they’ve force-fed him some words to speak, saying in a letter that there’s an expectation that he will support the Railway Safety Act of 2023 introduced by the state’s U.S. Senators.

They also want Shaw supporting efforts in the Statehouse that call for minimum 2-person train crews and other changes.

When he testified before a Senate committee recently, he stopped short of endorsing the Railway Safety Act.
