COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The governor’s office says soil removal at the crash site began on Thursday.

Contaminated soil is being taken to a hazardous waste disposal facility in Michigan.

Also, three dead birds and a opossum from the area have been submitted to the Ohio Department of Agriculture for necropsies.

No results yet, but preliminary findings indicate no chemical toxicity.
