Legendary Akron Event Gaining More Legitimacy in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A flurry of bills passing in Columbus, as the legislative schedule approaches summer.
And House Bill 423 gives a little more credence to the All-American Soap Box Derby.
The bill makes the annual event the “official gravity-racing program” of the state.
It’s been a fixture in Akron since 1934.
The bill now goes to the Senate.
