‘Move Over’ Law Stressed During ‘Work Zone Safety Awareness Week’

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Ohio is on pace again this year to record another 130 accidents involving work crews in work zones.

And ODOT says these are accidents that can be prevented.

The Slow Down Move Over law requires us to either get over in the next lane or at least slow down when we see flashing lights.

That’s whether it’s police, a tow truck crew or that highway contractor.

We see this law being violated every day.

This is National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week.
