(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect from 12 noon Friday today until 8 p.m. Saturday.

The National Weather Service says the heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

There are no plans to open emergency cooling centers by the Stark County Emergency Management Agency unless there’s a specific need.

County EMA Director Tim Warstler recommends you check on neighbors and the elderly and go to the mall or library to cool off.

AccuWeather “RealFeel” temps are forecast to be around 100 today and approaching 105 tomorrow.
