CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – More progress is being made in a long term road construction project on Route 30. Stark County Commissioner Richard Regula announced that the project between Trump Avenue and Route 44 has received an $18 million grant from the US Department of Transportation.

This comes just after officially receiving a $2 million grant from ODOT. The grants combined should cover about 20 to 25 percent of the overall cost of the Trump Avenue to 44 portion. Design and environmental work has already begun. Regula hopes that more work can start within the next two years.
