Slow Return to Normal With State Assistance for Indian Lake Tornado Victims

LAKEVIEW, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – While awaiting a decision on a Presidential Disaster Declaration, local governments and non-profits in the counties impacted by the worst of the March 14 tornadoes can apply for state assistance.

Governor Mike DeWine says $5 million in funding is now available.

Lakeview Mayor Elaine Fagan it’s a crawl back to normal.

They still aren’t able to get into the village’s offices.

However some businesses have reopened, a sign that normalcy is somewhere straight ahead.

Monday was the one month anniversary of the twister.
