(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Stark County Humane Society has a new dog-walking path that allows Archie, Moanna and the others to stretch their legs as they patiently wait for their forever home.

Executive Director Jackie Godbey says there’s a full path that’s about a mile and a shorter path that’s about half a mile.

“This helps the dogs get outside and get some exercise so when they’re waiting on their forever home they’re not just sitting in a cage waiting.”

She says the paths and patio areas cost around $125,000 and thanked all the generous people that made the dream a reality.

She says the paths are already getting a lot of use.

“We have lots of great staff and volunteers that are walking the dogs and working with them and spending the time with them to let them know that they are loved.”

And remember, Poochamania is coming up on Saturday.
