State Outdoor Burning Ban Now In Effect

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Unless outdoor burning is already banned where you live, the state’s springtime burning ban is in effect now through April and May.

It’s because of the potentially dry conditions.

Fire officials say warmer temperatures and breezes tend to dry out dead grass and vegetation very quickly.

The ban is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
