Summit County Officials Looking For Owners of over $3 Million worth of Unclaimed Funds

SUMMIT COUNTY (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A series of events are planned at Acme Fresh Market locations throughout the month of October to help Summit County officials find the owners of over $3.4 million worth of unclaimed funds.
Unclaimed funds are accumulated and owed from transactions performed at county agencies, including over payments, fees/costs, lost heirs accounts and proceeds from sheriff sales. Nearly $177,000 of unclaimed funds were returned to citizens in 2018.
