MARLBORO TWP (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Marlboro township police arrested two men yesterday following the end of an investigation that originally began over the wrong person receiving a package.

Officers received a call on Saturday from a homeowner on Meadowcreek Circle NE who received a large cardboard box shipped from California. After opening the box, officers found that it was filled with marijuana packed in food-saver bags.

Turns out, the box was sent to 27 year old Zachary Apenzeller. Officers say he had an elderly family member who lived at the address and planned on picking the package up before they noticed it.

On Monday, Police then found a backpack filled with multiple drugs in similar baggies, along with a hand gun near the home of 25 year old Timothy Miller, a friend who Apenzeller was currently living with.

After entering the home with a search warrant officers found enough to arrest both men on charges of marijuana trafficking and possession.
