Active Shooter Alert Turns Out to Be False Alarm

CANTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – An active shooter report this morning in downtown Canton turned out to be nothing more than a false alarm. Canton Police Lt. Dennis Garren told WHBC News that officers responded to an a reported active shooter situation just before 9 AM this morning at the Frank T Bowe Building, which is also known as the former federal building. Upon arrival, authorities found that they only issue was a malfunctioning false alarm.
