Akron Man Arrested for Murder of His Uncle

AKRON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Akron Police arrested a man this afternoon who they believe is responsible for the murder of a 64 year old man that took place over the weekend. 27 year old Donnell Lawson is facing a charge of aggravated murder. Police say he admitted to shooting and killing 64 year old Melvin Peters on Saturday morning in the 800 block of Cordova Ave. Lawson is believed to be the victim’s nephew.
