The disastrous season for the Browns continued in the “Mile High” city as at the halfway point, Cleveland is now (2-6) following the 24-19 road loss to the Broncos.

Brandon Allen made his NFL debut at quarterback, starting for the injured Joe Flacco and threw 2 touchdown passes to lead Denver to the 5 point win.

Cleveland’s inability to score touchdowns in the red zone cost them dearly going (1 for 5), as they had to settled for short Austin Seibert field goals of 30, 27, 30 and 39 yards.

The Browns loan touchdown in the game came on a 9 yard pass from Baker Mayfield to Jarvis Landry early in the fourth quarter, to cut the lead to 5, but they would get no closer.

Next up for the Browns, a 1:00pm home game Sunday against the Bills.
