CPD Gets Funding to Bring on More K-9 Officers

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Canton police have a $13,500 grant in hand to bring on two new K-9 officers.

The department will purchase the dogs now and train them.

There are currently six K-9 officers on the roster, but one is about to retire.

The money comes from the U.S. Police Canine Association.
