Friend of Dayton Shooter Bought Him Body Armor and Firearm Accessory According to Feds

DAYTON (News Talk 1480 WHBC) -A friend of the gunman who killed nine and injured more than 30 in the shooting that took place in Dayton on August 4 is facing federal charges.
24 year old Ethan Kollie of Kettering, is being charged with lying on federal firearms forms. He is also accused of purchasing the shooter body armor along with a firearm accessory earlier this year, to which he then used during his attack on August 4.
Officials say Kollie purchased the items for the shooter then kept them in his apartment to assist the shooter in hiding them from his parents.
There is no evidence that says Kollie helped the shooter plan his attack. Kollie is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
