Longtime Jefferson County Sheriff Passes Away

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – He obviously had the job for life.

That life has sadly ended.

Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla died early Tuesday, having served the county in that position for 37 years.

Governor Mike DeWine knew Sheriff Abdalla welll; he called him a dedicated, no-nonsense lawman.

His health had been declining in recent months.
