Louisville Teen Sentenced to 15 to Life for September 2022 Stabbing Death

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The 17-year-old Louisville girl found guilty of murder earlier this month in the September 2022 stabbing death of an Alliance man received a life prison term on Monday.

Marissa Smith will serve at least 15 years for the incident in Wildwood Park in Louisville that ended the life of 22-year-old Michael Morris.

She was among a group of teenagers along with Morris who were fighting in the park when prosecutors say she borrowed a friend’s knife.

That 16-year-old friend will be adjudicated next.
