North Canton, Carrollton Benefit from State’s Latest BUILDS Grant Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Another round of funding for water- and sewer-based infrastructure projects in Ohio.

North Canton is receiving $938,000 to run 2000 feet of sanitary sewer line to support an economic development project.

And Carrollton is receiving $212,000 to make improvements at its water treatment plant, switching to a stronger pipe that can better withstand excessive pressure.

A total of $114 million in grants are being made available statewide.

It’s through the state’s BUILDS (Broadband Utilities and Infrastructure for Local Development Success) grant program.

A total of $114 million was doled out in this fourth round of funding.
