OSP: Stark #4 for Road Rage Incidents in Early 2023

COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Not a statistic to be proud of.

Stark County had the fourth highest number of road rage incidents of the state’s 88 counties in the first quarter of this year, with 15 of them.

That’s three more than the same period in 2022.

Only Warren, Montgomery and Medina Counties had more such incidents.

The numbers have been going up steadily across the state.

Law enforcement says it’s important to report such incidents, and that may be occurring more in the counties with higher numbers.

There have been notable cases, like the retired steelworker assaulted in his car in an incident on 8th Street NE in Canton back in 2021.

And George Jensen, who was shot and killed on I-76 in Norton last month.
