(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – The Stark County Sheriff’s Office says it remains vigilant in detecting and arresting impaired drivers.

The sheriff’s office says deputies, and other members of the OVI Task Force, will be conducting two sobriety checkpoints in Louisville on Friday night.

One checkpoint will be at 1150 West Main Street in the city and the other in the 7300 block of Ravenna Avenue NE in Nimishillen Township.

Deputies will be conducting roadside checks of drivers for alcohol and drug impairment.

Sheriff George Maier is strongly encouraging anyone who consumes alcohol to always make a plan for a designated driver or other arrangements to get home safely.
