Wildwood Park Stabbing Case Ends With Teen Sentenced

CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The 16-year-old Louisville boy who supplied the knife that ended the life of an Alliance-area man in a Louisville park is being sent to Boys Town.

That’s the residential facility for troubled youth in Nebraska.

The teen had pleaded guilty to juvenile-level charges including felonious assault in the stabbing death of 22-year-old Michael Morris Jr at Wildwood Park last September.

He was sentenced on Monday.

Police say the teen handed the knife to 17-year-old Marissa Smith of Louisville.

She is doing 15 years to life.
