Alliance Man facing Jail for Attempts to Burn a Church

A plea agreement has been struck and an Alliance man has entered a guilty plea to trying to set fire to a church in Geauga County last March.
According to court records Aimenn Penny pleaded guilty to arson and obstruction charged in Federal Court. Prosecutors say Penny is a member of White Lives Matters and he told investigators he wanted to protect children from drag shows being held at the church the following week. He will be sentenced in January.
