Free concerts at Sippo and Other Area Parks This Summer
Dan Cavalancia, Canton Symphony announced the schedule for the upcoming Summer Serenades in the Park series.
Serenades in the Park — a free, family-friendly, series of brass, woodwind, and string ensembles performing all over Stark County beginning in June and finishing with a full-orchestra concert in September! Everyone is invited to bring your favorite picnic food, games, and blanket or chair and enjoy the setting and music. Pre-concert activities coordinated by CSO and SCPD staff are offered before each performance. The series is sponsored in part by Stark County Park District.
The ensemble performances take place each month (June, July, August, and September) and feature 3 to 5 CSO musicians in a casual program of light classics, pops, patriotic, jazz and/or folk repertoire.
All concerts offer events before hand, so come early for some extra family fun!
If the concert is threatened by inclement weather, it will be moved into Foundation Hall, located at the Zimmermann Symphony Center. Click here for directions and information. *This excludes the final concert at Petros Park on Sept. 1st*
Please bring your own chairs and/or blankets to sit on and enjoy each concert.
